By johnduncan , October 22, in Logic Pro. Hello all, and thanks to the admin for the registration help via Facebook! First post and new user so be gentle. However, the instrument mapping is not standard and the snare and kick both play cymbals. How do I map the old notes to new in Logic X?
I am bewildered by the articles and videos I’ve found online, which have not solved my problem. I get the impression I need to delve into the environment and pipe the input through a transformer to an output, but I’m damned if I can work out how. Mapping yamaha dtxplorer pads to Ultrabeat? Mac mini 2. So to recap conceptually: when doing a mapping I need to add a physical input in the environment it’s an interface as opposed to the dtxplorer directly, but irrelevant , connect that to the mapping instrument, and connect that to the sequencer?

Thanks for the prompt reply. I had seen that post before and got nowhere with it, primarily because I couldn’t work out how to draw cables between the components, which I’ve now managed to do! It’s not working yet but I’ll persevere Use C1 and D1 instead.
I cannot get this to work by any of these methods. Did you try C1 and D1 instead of C3 and D3? Are all the other triggers toms, hihat, cymbals… working correctly? Sorry am not in front of it now, will try to explain exactly what I see in a while. Thanks for your continued help.
