I ran into a problem regarding downloading a recorded meeting last Monday. Let me first tell you that i’ve never experienced this problem untill now. The odd thing about this is that it did indeed download the size of the recording mb. My question is downloaad follows: How do i get the file to convert to a video file so that i can listen to the recording for my assignment, or is there a way to download the correct file?

Also apparently i do not own a free version of ms teams but the education variant. Just came across this issue, strange to believe it’s still teamss bug.
You can simply rename the png file as mp4 and your video will play. I just got the same problem. Instead of. It seems to be a bug with the educational version. Renaming the file worked!!

So, we’d need to check if there have been any changes to the existing recording. As MS Teams free comes with limited cloud storage, the meeting recording feature has been disabled in Teams free. The recording happens in the cloud, and is saved to Microsoft Stream, so you can share it securely across your organization. Everyone in the meeting is then notified that recording has teame. When the meeting is over or the recording stopped, the recording is processed which could take awhile and saved to Microsoft Stream, and then it’s ready to play. The person who started the recording receives an email from Microsoft Stream when the recording is available.

We use Microsoft Share Point to save our files too and we want to make sure the recording can be saved to the share point file. Well, you can : once the recording has been processed, it is available in Microsoft Stream and from there you can download it in MP4 format and upload it to a SharePoint site if you wish.
